As the successive president of the Council of the European Union, at the end of 2020, Germany concluded a Comprehensive Agreement on Investment between the EU and China. In the meantime, the relationship between the Asian country and the Old Continent has taken many turns, and China’s positions seem to be strengthening everywhere. Some member states of the EU are also building their bilateral relations with China along different strategies, while different news are appearing about the benefits and dangers arising from it. Our event aims to gain insight into the China policy of two of Europe’s leading economies, Germany and France, and to compare it with domestic practice.
