Exhibition Opening in the Győry Castle of Perkáta

“Paternal Legacy – Common Responsibility. The Life and Memory of Emperor and King Charles I (IV) and Otto von Habsburg” was the title of the exhibition opening event organised by our Foundation and the General Community Centre of Perkáta on 23 February 2024. Both our travelling exhibitions were displayed at the occasion.

King’s coup from a child’s point of view

One hundred years ago Charles IV, the last Hungarian king, tried to return to the throne of Hungary. But while the scientific research approaches the events from the perspective of political history, – it seems interesting to revive the events from the perspective of Charles IV’s eldest, eight-year-old son.

SPANISH FLU IN MADEIRA

The Spanish flu, also known as the 1918 flu pandemic, was the first worldwide epidemic in history, wiping out about 3 to 5 percent of the world’s population. 98 years ago Charles IV, the father of Otto von Habsburg and the last Hungarian king, was among those who lost his life battling the disease.
