The memory of Charles in a modern setting

On 29 October 2024, we opened our exhibition “Instead of Victory Reports” in the Mindszentyneum Zalaegerszeg, concluding the series of events held on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the beatification of our namesake’s father, Emperor and King Charles.

Following the conference on Otto von Habsburg’s European legacy, the events of 1989, and the development of Hungarian-German relations, our colleagues visited the ancestral home of the Hohenzollern family and took part in the commemoration of German Unity Day in Metzingen.

On 7 September 2024, we opened an exhibition to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Emperor and King Charles I (IV)’s beatification, which was widely attended.

The Otto von Habsburg Foundation at the conference of history teachers

“Historical Past and the Present of History Teaching” was the title of the tenth conference of the Teachers of History in Evangelical Schools on 23 February 2023. This year, the Otto Habsburg Foundation participated in the organization of the event, besides the Aszód Evangelical Petőfi High School and the Institute of Pedagogy of the Evangelical Lutheran Church. The event was hosted by the Royal Palace of Gödöllő.
