On 13 October 2023, at the University in Nancy, Gergely Fejérdy, Deputy Scientific Director of our Foundation, gave a lecture on Otto von Habsburg’s relations to Lorraine and his commitment to Europe. Commemoration of Charles IV in Porto

On 6 December 2022, the Embassy of Hungary in Lisbon, in cooperation with the Portuguese Catholic University in Porto, organized a conference on the occasion of the centenary of the death of Blessed Charles IV, where the exhibition ‘Life and Memory’, compiled by the Otto von Habsburg Foundation, was presented.

Conference on the last monarch of the Austro-Hungarian Empire in Lisbon

The Embassy of Hungary in Lisbon, the Universidade Católica Portuguesa and the Austrian Embassy in Lisbon organised a conference in memory of Blessed Charles IV, who died in exile in Madeira on 1 April 1922. Gergely Fejérdy, Deputy Director of the Otto von Habsburg Foundation, also gave a lecture on the occasion of the centenary.
