The former politician and university professor István Musto, now in his ninetieth year, was in contact with the namesake of our Foundation during his years in Madrid. We discovered this through a photograph while researching the relations between the Hungarian Royal Ambassador Ferenc Marosy and Otto von Habsburg.
The Otto von Habsburg Foundation and the Rubicon Institute are organising a discussion on 31 March at the Royal Palace of Gödöllő, where our exhibition Exiled in Madeira is on display.
In 1941, Otto von Habsburg was the guest of honour at the commemoration of the 15th of March for Hungarian Americans. A newly discovered photo shows the figures of the Hungarian emigration in unprecedented detail.
Gergely Prőhle, Director of our Foundation, gave a lecture on “Otto von Habsburg and the Conservative Networks” in Berlin on 1 March 2023, and two days later in the Saxon capital Dresden.
