Hungary held the Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the second half of 2024, which, beyond opening way for several political discussions, also provided the opportunity to organise a number of international professional events and to publish a unique volume.
This year’s issues 2, 3 and 4 of the Levéltári Szemle (Journal of Archives) included articles both written on the work of our Foundation and by our colleagues.
In 2023, the National Archives of Hungary presented the Ember Győző Award to Róbert Fiziker, the historian-archivist of the National Archives of Hungary, a frequent contributor to our events and publications, in recognition of his outstanding professional work.
Our volume entitled Otto von Habsburg and the State Power was awarded first place in the category of professional publications in the Archives Publication of the Year 2020 Award, presented by the Association of Hungarian Archivists.
