On 5 June 2026, the Otto von Habsburg Foundation, in cooperation with the Embassy of Hungary in Madrid, organised an exhibition and a round-table discussion in Bilbao highlighting Otto von Habsburg’s years in the Basque Country and his family’s connections with the region.
On 19 May 2025, our Foundation had the honour of welcoming Luis Ángel Redondo, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Hungary.
On 29 June, Alfonso Dastis Quecedo, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain in Budapest and former Minister of Foreign Affairs, visited the Otto von Habsburg Foundation.
The former politician and university professor István Musto, now in his ninetieth year, was in contact with the namesake of our Foundation during his years in Madrid. We discovered this through a photograph while researching the relations between the Hungarian Royal Ambassador Ferenc Marosy and Otto von Habsburg.
