Dr Gergely Fejérdy, Deputy Director of Scientific Affairs, presented our Foundation’s establishment, operation and work, along with the portrait of our namesake and aspects of his family’s history. The research potential of the materials held by the Foundation was specifically highlighted. Subsequently, the participants were shown selected pieces from our Collection: the diaries detailing the daily life of Otto and his siblings during their childhood, a letter from Miklós Horthy to Otto von Habsburg from 1948, and the Grand Cross of the Military Order of Maria Theresa – owned by Emperor and King Charles I (IV), which was part of the Degenfeld bequest.
