Andreas Scheuer, Member of the Bundestag and former Secretary General of the Christian Social Union in Bavaria, visited our Foundation. The former Federal Minister of Transport and Digital Infrastructure is currently serving on the Committee on European Affairs of the German Federal Parliament and is responsible for relations with Hungary.
Andreas Scheuer met Otto von Habsburg on several occasions at the beginning of his more than two-decade political career, and our namesake’s insights on Europe had a significant influence on his worldview. Scheuer’s hometown and electorate is Passau, a city with a history of strong ties with Hungary, and our Foundation intends to present an exhibition on the life of Otto von Habsburg there.
