Gergely Prőhle, Lay President of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hungary, Director of the Institute for Strategic Studies of the University of Public Service and of the Otto von Habsburg Foundation was awarded on the occasion of the National Holiday commemorating the Hungarian Civic Revolution and War of Independence of 1848-1849. The Batthyány Lajos Award was handed over by Gergely Gulyás, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Office, on 14 March in Várkert Bazár in recognition of his decades of dedicated service to the public.
