The National Archives of Hungary (MNL), the Association of Hungarian Archivists (MLE) and the Council of the Leaders of Hungarian Archives (MLVT) published the first issue in the year of their quarterly journal, in which Szilveszter Dékány, senior collection fellow, presented the work of our Foundation and the collection it manages, highlighting various aspects of it in his informative photo report.
The second issue contains an article by our colleagues Szilveszter Dékány, Eszter Gaálné Barcs and Ádám Suslik titled “Legacy in the Heritage”, which provides an illustrated account of our greatest institutional acquisition of recent years, the arrival of the bequest of Count Heinrich von Degenfeld.
We are delighted that both issues feature photographs taken by our team on the title page. On the front cover of issue 1, Zoltán Szabó’s photograph depicts the young Otto von Habsburg and his siblings looking directly into the camera lens. At the same time, Eszter Gaálné Barcs’s picture showcases various storage units from the Degenfeld heritage.
