Visit by Alvino-Mario Fantini, editor-in-chief of The European Conservative

The editor-in-chief of The European Conservative journal, Alvino-Mario Fantini, visited our Foundation on 17 February 2022.

As stated on their website The European Conservative is Europe’s premier conservative English-language quarterly journal of philosophy, politics, and the arts. As such, it publishes articles, essays, interviews and reviews on various forms of conservative, traditionalist and right-wing thinking. The editor-in-chief of the journal, Alvino-Mario Fantini, discussed the future possibilities of cooperation with our director Gergely Prőhle.

The work of our Foundation, which cares for the legacy and intellectual heritage of Otto von Habsburg, may be of interest to readers of the journal. The Editor-in-Chief was particularly interested in Otto von Habsburg’s personal collection of books in our possession, especially those relating to certain American conservative politicians. The photo shows Gergely Prőhle, director, Gergely Fejérdy, deputy director and Alvino-Mario Fantini in front of the books of Otto von Habsburg.

As a result of the visit and the discussion, a report on the work of the Otto von Habsburg Foundation is planned to be published in the autumn issue of the journal on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of Otto von Habsburg’s birth.
